Trunks Bar is having a celebration tribute to Bill Holland's life. The event will be held @ Trunks on Saturday Oct 12th from 1-4 pm. There will be food and some drink specials to toast a great man. Please stop by to pay your respects if you can make it.

We only have 1 more week left to put your name on the score sheet for the upcoming election. Voting will be held on week 9. If you want to make a difference, get your name on the ballot.

P.S. To all captains this is a warning, starting next week if you are late sending your results to me I’m going to enforce the rule of penalizing the captain for one game. I never did it before because it wasn’t a big issue, now I have to wait hours or some people to send me the results. The results need to be send to me no later than 10:00am Wednesday.

Dear League Members,
I am sure that everyone has heard of the recent passing of Bill Holland (the owner of Trunks). I am sure each and every one of us had been touched by him in one way or the other over the years whether we knew it or not. Bill was very generous to our league by making substantial cash donations when the league was running short, or his offering of Trunks for 100's of fundraisers over the years.
If you would like to pay your respects, there will be 2 services both held in Palm Springs at the Weifels Mortuary / 690 Vella Rd / P.S. The first service is this Thursday from 1-4 pm and the second service will be held at the same place on Saturday from 3-6 pm.
Don't forget that the BOG elections are approaching and you must nominate yourself by putting your name on the score sheet along with nomination for BOG. The elections will be held on week nine of play so there isn't much time get your name on the ballot.
This coming Sunday will be our 7 8 9 tournament being held at Penthouse with registration at 12:00 noon and play starting at 1:00 pm.

Hello LAPL Members,
BOG Nominations are now open, if you would like to run for the Board, just write your name and “Board Runner” on the score sheet. Remember, you must nominate yourself to run for the Board.
Also this Sunday, September 22, is the Bowling on Felt fundraiser at Eagle LA. This is the second season we are playing this tournament. It was well received last season with 23 people attending for its debut. We hope to get a lot more this time, Brian will send out to everyone the rules of the game by the end of the week. As usual registration is from noon to 1:00pm with game starting right after.
Hope to see you all there and good luck for the rest of the season.
P.S Captains if there’s a week that you are not playing please let your players know that I need the results of the match by 10:00am next day, there’s 4 ways you can send it to me:

I want to thank all the players that attended our bowling on felt fundraiser this past Sunday Not only did we have a great turnout from our league, but quite a few members also brought guests.
With a 32 player field for the Bowling on Felt fundraiser held yesterday at the Eagle, congratulations to the top four players:
1st Schesary Berrios 114 points
2nd Justin Yau 110 points
3rd Russ Pepin 109 points
4th Jose Torres 85 points
Also please note that we are having our first open 8 ball CASH tournament at Trunks this coming Saturday. This event will be held on the last Saturday of every month from now through December. The entry fee will be $15 with $5 going to the LA Pool League and the remaining $10 going back into the prize pool. The format will be a single game, double elimination event and is open to anyone who wishes to test their game. The prize pool will be directly related to the number of players who sign up for the event. We will be playing LA Pool League rules.....so come on out to win the cash and bring along a friend.

Upon receiving an overwhelming number of requests from our Captains and Membership regarding the dislike for the new Score Sheet, we are going to change back to our "Old Score Sheet". The old version has been posted on our website in the Blank Score Sheet section. Please start using the old version of our score sheet on Week 4. Should you bring the wrong score sheet to your match, we will accept both versions for Week 4.
We have completed our 3rd week of play and we have also had a very successful fundraiser with the Lucky Draw Tourney. Congratulations to the top 4 places:
