Week Eight

Dear League Members,

A Special Recognition from the League was presented to Michael Pfannenstiel this past Tuesday at the Eagle. Several members of the BOG and league members took a moment to wish him well as he moves away from Los Angeles. The BOG presented a plaque to Michael which read as follows: "Special Recognition, Michael Pfannenstiel: Member 1983 to 2016 including service as a member of the Board of Governors and President of the league; With Best Wishes, The Los Angeles Pool League, March 22, 2016". Michael had a 32 year history with the league. We are going to miss him and wish him the very best.

BOG Nominees: We have four open seats on the Board. As of now, Cliff Giles, Jr., Matt Reilly, Gibbi Tkatch and Jeff Nii have placed there names in nomination. If you are interested in running, please notify the BOG here at this address or write your name on the score sheet before the end of week 9 play.

WCC Los Angeles, July 8-10, 2016: The BOG is looking for volunteers the help organize the WCC activities via a Committee that will begin meeting in April. We need assistance with planning, general logistics leading to and during the events. We also need assistance with fundraising. If you can help, please contact us here. We will let you know when the first meeting will be scheduled.

Join us at Trunks next Sunday, April 3, for our bi-annual Junior/Senior fundraising tournament! This is a double-elimination 8-ball tournament, broken down by age. The older half go toe-to-toe on one table, while the younger half will face off on the other. The winner on each side will face off for the "Champion Of The Ages!"

Registration at Trunks starts at 12:30 PM & ends at 1 PM. Entry fee is $15. See you there!
