Next Tournament/Fundraiser: We will host our Sudden Death Tournament this Sunday, March 5 at the Eagle LA. Sign-up will begin at 12 noon with play at 1:00 p.m.
Results from 9 Ball Tournament: We want to thank everyone that came out to Jerry’s Billiards last Sunday for our 9 Ball Tournament.
The winners were:
1st Place was Malisa Mapu,
2nd Place was Kerri Frasca,
3rd Place was Ray Brewer and
4th Place was Andy Rodriguez.
Nominations for BOG: We will have 4 seats to fill on our BOG for next season. If you would like to place your name in nomination, please write it on the score sheet or email us here before the end of week 7 of play. The 4 members of the BOG who’s terms are ending are Kerri Frasca, Matt Reilly, Cliff Giles, Jr., and Gibbi Tkatch.

Next fundraising Tournament: We will be hosting our 9-Ball Fundraiser this Sunday, February 26 at Jerry's Billiards in Pasadena. Sign up begins at 12 noon and play at 1 pm. Please invite a friend and introduce them to the LAPL.
Board of Governors Meeting: We will be having a meeting of the BOG from 11 am to 12:30 right before the fundraiser at Jerry's on Sunday, February 26. Among the items that will be discussed are:
Finance Report, Recruitment of New Venues, Player Recruitment and Development of New Teams, 9-Ball Season, BOG elections, Venue for Awards Party; other items as brought by members.

Our Spring 2017 season will begin next week onTuesday, February 7th.We will have most of our teams returning as well as a new sponsor, Johnny O'Brien's located at 5248 Van Nuys Blvd., Sherman Oaks, CA. 91401.We welcome this new venue to our league.Malisa and Kerri's team will be playing as home team thereon Monday evenings.We also want to welcome our new players and thank our returning players.
Attached is the schedule of play.The schedule is also listed on our website.The current rules of play are on our website along with the revised bylaws. PLEASE NOTE THE SCHEDULE HAS BEEN REDONE. A TEAM DROPPED OUT WHICH CAUSED THE SCHEDULE CHANGES.

Reporting Scores & Score Sheets:
We are requesting a uniform procedure for reporting scores from matches.We are asking that each captain (or captain's designee) verify the scores from the match and both sign the score sheet.After, we are asking that captains text a photo of the score sheet to Malisa our statistician at619-990-5208.If you have a problem with the this procedure, please call Malisa at the same number or respond here to this email.
First Fundraiser:Greased Lightning will be held onSunday, February 12at the Eagle.Signup will begin at12 noonand play at1:00 pm.Please inform your team members to come out and enjoy a day of sportsmanship and competition.A full list of the weekend tournaments/fundraisers are on our calendar as well.
