This will be a running list of motions proposed prior to the members meeting.

Motion from John Clark:
I’d like to file a motion for this Tuesday’s meeting. I think it should be added into the league’s bylaws that playoffs for West Coast Challenge seasons should only be scheduled for Tuesday nights.  Since it is a Tuesday league, and many members may be unavailable on other nights due to other commitments, I think playoffs should only be scheduled for Tuesdays, especially during WCC seasons, even if that limits the number of teams who can play in the playoffs based on the number of weeks available between the end of the season and WCC. I also think there should be some attempt to limit playoffs to Tuesday nights in non-WCC seasons as well (or at least some attempt to accommodate teams who want to play in playoffs but can’t play on Thursdays).

Motion from Bryan Haneiwich:
Reduce playoffs from 12 to 8 teams in any season with less than 14 total teams.  In seasons with 14-18 teams 12 would make the playoffs, is seasons with 18+ teams 16 teams would make the playoffs.  

The Fall 2024 Award’s Party/Spring 2025 Members Registration Meeting will be at 7pm on Tuesday, March 11th at the Eagle LA.  We will be giving out trophies to last season's 1st and 2nd Place teams and our other fundraiser/tournament winners.

We will have pizza and 2 free raffle tickets for all league members in attendance.  Additional raffle tickets can also be purchased.

Captains……  please bring 2- $20 gifts for our raffle.

As passed by the membership in Spring 2024, the fee to register all teams in a West Coast Challenge season is $350.

Also passed; to qualify for a stipend in Long Beach, you must attend at least 4 fundraisers or pay the $80 equivalent.

The 7 Spring fundraisers will be posted on our calendar in the coming week.

Team registration, in full, is to be paid ahead of time or when you submit your roster at the Members Registration Meeting.  Any other payment options are to be arranged and approved with the League Treasurer at that Members Meeting.

You have until the 2nd week of play to collect and submit the $20 2025 BCA dues for each player on your roster.

Captains, please submit a roster for our new secretary.  For BCA membership we need each player's legal name, mailing address, an e-Mail address and a current phone number.

Motions for changing our by-laws must be submitted to the Board at least 2 days prior to the Members Registration Meeting so they can be posted online.

Remember, only League members in attendance can vote on motions to change League policies or rules.

Mark your calendar, the Long Beach West Coast Challenge is the weekend of August 22-24.
